The places I love to visit are parks and gardens. I love nature, love looking at the trees, plants, flowers and scenery. In fact I've been to Fort Worth Botanic Garden a few times because I love to see the flowers and scenery there. I still have to post here the photos we took when we went there last June. When we were in Iowa, we got the chance to go to the Weed Park in Muscatine. Thanks to Melissa for taking us there.
The name Weed Park sounds weird to me. One may think that all you will see there are weeds, lol! But contrary to the name, I found the park nice and unique. The park houses the Weed Park's Zoo
Garden, a three-acre flower, art, pathway and kiosk. There's no feeding the animals because they're metal, loll! The artist did a good job in using metal to fashion the zoo
animals, including a monkey, snake, a buffalo, an elephant, birds and a
butterfly. Look at my hubby's photos pulling the tail of the monkey while I took his pics here. It really made me laugh!
The park has different kinds of flowers, nice scenery for a nature lover like me. It is a peaceful place where people can walk, listen - and enjoy what has
become a flowered oasis. I just love flowers and gardens. To me, a park without flowers is not attractive. The flowers add color to the surroundings. Weed Park is a nice place to visit and enjoy God's wonderful creation.
