Every time I see some wallets, I can't help myself but remember an incident that happened to me eight years ago. I had a wallet that my hubby bought in the Philippines before we left for the US in 2003. I love that wallet because it was a leather and I love the color and design. When we got to the states, my hubby and I traveled from Texas to Iowa three days after we arrived to attend the wedding of my step-son. We rode with hubby's daughter with her husband and their son. When we were in Kansas, we stopped in a convenience store and I bought a sanitary napkin then I went to the rest room and changed. After that, I went out without remembering to get my wallet that I laid on top of the toilet tank.
I just remembered it two days after when we were going back home from the wedding. I was digging in my purse for my wallet so I can buy something when we stopped in the gas station but I can't find it. That's the time that I found out that my wallet was missing. I remember the last time I've seen it was in the rest room while I was changing my menstrual pad. I was so devastated and I really felt bad that day. I had a little less than two hundred dollars in it and my IDs and some photos were there too. I wanted to cry but hubby comforted me. I kept thinking about it for the duration of that trip from Iowa to Texas. Imagine, I just arrived in the US 3 days ago that time and I already lost some money. Me and my forgetfulness!
