I know I'm lagging behind in my updates here but I just wanna write here our Christmas celebration. My hubby and I together with my kinfolks celebrated Christmas in the city of pines. We went there on December 23rd and came back home December 27th. It's the first Christmas that my sister Violy was not with us no more. I missed her so much and I felt that my brother-in-law and his 2 boys did miss her too. Also I missed my auntie Aning. Last year, we were all together celebrating Christmas. Who would think that it was their last Christmas with us. I know they were happy celebrating Christmas in heaven. We had a great time there, we had lots of foods during Christmas eve like fried chicken wings, roll cake, spaghetti, fruit salad, and Italian bread. After we had our Noche Buena, hubby shared a poem about Christmas. Then we had the gift giving. Everybody were happy and contented. Thank you Jesus for coming into this world to save us from our sins.

Hubby and I just moved in to our new home last December 1st. God blessed us to get this 2 bedroom bungalow house with spacious kitchen, nice porch and furnished living and dining room with Narra wood furniture. The owner even constructed a new toilet and bathroom inside the house because the old bathroom was outside. The house has a spacious service area at the back with a deep well pump. It has also a spacious front and backyard with fruit bearing trees. There's a bamboo hut in front and a pigpen at the back.
The house was supposed to be rented by our friends but they changed their mind and gave it up because the CR was outside. They talked to the owner to construct a CR inside the house but she refused because she said that's a lot of expenses. Hubby decided to rent it when our friends rejected it. When we already paid the 1 month advance and 1 month deposit, the owner decided to construct a CR inside the house to my delight. We signed a 1 year contract for the lease. Now, we are happy and settled here for now. Here's a photo I took today. I'll post more next time.

We had a film showing tonight at 7:30 PM of the movie "The Burning Hell" and we had a good turn-out. The kids in my Sunday were all there and also the adults. They responded to our invitation which we announced in the church last Sunday and this afternoon we went to invite people. We had the film showing at the basketball outside the house where we hold our services. The house is not spacious so it can't accommodate all the people. Before the movie started, hubby gave a short message that hell is real, it's a lake of fire where there's gnashing and gnawing of teeth and that people should not want to go there. There will be no escape if people will go there so now that we are still alive, we should repent and turn away from our sins and accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. After the movie, hubby gave an invitation but nobody went in front. Maybe they are just shy or they didn't understand the message because it's in English. Whatever the reason, we pray that the Lord will convict their hearts and they will realize their need of a Savior.

...that I wasn't online. We have no internet for almost a month now. The thieves strike again! They stole the phone cables along the road a few miles away from our place. Hubby said the thieves might need money because Christmas is fast approaching. My BIL who is working in the phone company told me today that they just replaced the cables but got stolen again. It's so irritating. I just wish the phone company will hire guards to patrol at night so the thieves will back off. If not, their subscribers will switch to another internet service provider. I'm planning to switch to another company soon that provides WiMax, wireless internet.

I've been having problems with one of my teeth again in the upper left molar. I think it has a hole or cavity because it hurt when I bite and my lower left cheek is a little swollen. Beside it is my left canine tooth that was broken and still not pulled. I don't want to take antibiotics because of the side effects. I just gargle with warm water and salt at night. I am planning to go to the dentist tomorrow or the day after.

My late grandfather in my mother side lived in Arizona for more than forty years. He left my grandma, my mom and my aunt for so many years and enjoyed the life in the land of the free and the home of the brave. My mom was only three years old when he left and my grandma was pregnant with my aunt. The worst thing is that he did not only leave them but he did not give support too. But as years goes by as he grew old, that's the time he thought of going back home. He was already retired and was receiving pension from Social Security by that time he went back home. He said that when he was in the US, he worked hard so he can buy a property from phoenix az real estate . He also said that he had another wife there in Arizona and had one daughter. My grandma had accepted back my grandpa and forgave him of his wrongdoing. Even my mom and my aunt had forgiven him and they were so happy to see their prodigal dad. My aunt haven't seen him before because she was still inside my grandma's womb when my grandpa left.
My grandpa lived for 5 years after his return and then he passed away in 1978. My grandma received pension from my grandpa's Social Security and that's what helped us a great deal. My grandma was able to send me and my 3 siblings to college because of her pension. We owe everything to my grandpa who went abroad and worked. My grandpa, grandma, my mom and my aunt passed away but their memories remain in our hearts and minds forever.
The typhoon Juan that hit the country was the strongest this year. It damaged a lot of properties and claimed some lives. Last night the power went off so I went to sleep early. It was so dark and windy, raining too so it was a bed weather. Outside the typhoon was raging even when I woke up around 2:00 to go to the bathroom. I can hear the strong winds and also the rain. There was no power until late this afternoon. I am glad it's back so I can blog again. I hope and pray the typhoon will leave soon.

I am ready to go to bed now. My eyes are already droopy and I have a hard time typing in my computer now. I just finished some tasks before I retire. Hope to get more online tasks tomorrow. Tomorrow is another day and I hope and pray that hubby and I can go on vacation one of these days and have a canal holiday before the coming holiday season is over. I just pray that the Lord will bless us financially so we can afford to have one. Hubby is already bugging me to spend time together in another place outside the four corners of our house. He must be getting bored already. I said to him, in due time, at the right time and at the right place, we will have our vacation. We have to give more time to our ministry first because it is already growing. Thank you Lord for your blessings and provisions. Well folks, thanks for dropping by and reading my posts. Hope you visit me again next time. Nighty night!
We had a great service today. There was one mother who came in for the first time and 2 other moms were present after a couple of Sundays of absence. We were so glad to see them. Hubby preached about Obedience Brings Blessings. I was the one who suggested to hubby to preach that message because I find it easier to translate it in Tagalog. Then after the message, it was announced that there was a couple who are close friends of ours who are donating rice for the parents who attended. One bag containing 2 kilos of rice were given to parents in each household. Our friends who started the rice ministry will continue doing it to help parents and also to attract them in coming to church.

Yesterday, I went to my late li'l sister's house which is just next door to put their seat covers that I got from the clothes line. As I entered in, I've seen the couch where my sis used to sit when she was sick for almost 5 months. I was filled with grief and I was not able to control my emotions and I cried like a little kid inside their house. I sat down at the couch and I cried like a little kid. Their house is full of memories of my sister Violy. It's like her memories are imprinted at the 4 corners of that house. I was sitting their for a few minutes and nobody was there except me. I was saying Violy's name while I was crying. I miss her so much. I went back to our house still sobbing and my hubby saw me crying as I entered our bedroom. I told him I miss my sister and everytime I go to their house, the more I miss her. He came to me and rubbed my head and said some comforting words to me. After a while I mellowed down and stopped crying. I just needed to let out my emotions rather than keep it to myself. That's what I am. I cry when I am sad and laugh or smile when I am happy. I lost count how many times I cried the past few months when I was pleading to God to heal my sister. Now that she's gone, I'm still crying. Lord please, I need your comfort and peace during this time of need in my life. I lost my sis whom I dearly love but I know I can count on you anytime I need you that you will always be there for me. Thank you Lord for everything!

My li'l sister's funeral was last Saturday, October 2nd and was attended by a bunch of people. It only shows that my sis was well loved by her friends, relatives and neighbors. Pastor Amos Anteg was the one who gave the message and he and his wife traveled all the way from Manila that day to attend my sister's funeral. After the service and before they took my li'l sister's coffin to the car, my bro-in-law announced that there will be lunch at our place after the funeral and everybody are invited.
The foods were cooked and catered by our neighbor who has a catering business. She was the one who catered after my aunt's funeral last February and it was okay. The foods were good. So my brother-in-law made a deal with her to be in charge with the food and he agreed to pay her 11,000 php for the foods and services which is good for 200 people. Much to our dismay and embarrassment, the foods she served were no good. The foods served consist of ground pork with raisins, fried chicken, chopsuey and rice. Lots of people came to eat after the funeral. We were the last one to know that the foods were no good, the chicken and pork were stinky. The chopsuey was overcooked and no taste at all. Looked like the meat were not frozen well so it was already spoiled before they cooked it. Lots of people were heard complaining and we were so embarrassed of what happened. The caterer even had the guts to insist that her foods were not spoiled and we didn't hear her asked an apology.
My brother-in-law talked to the caterer and she didn't admit her fault. My brother-in-law told her the foods were not spoiled but the right term he said was that the meat were not frozen good so it's already spoiled before she cooked it. Jhun told her that early in the morning, he already smelled their cooking of chicken and it didn't smell good. He told her he already got worried thinking the meat were spoiled. I'm pretty sure she had smelled it when they were cooking but still she served it. She should have replaced the meat but she didn't. That incident became the talk of the town and we were really embarrassed. If Violy was still alive, she would have gotten mad of what happened. Jhun asked for a discount and the caterer gave only 1000php discount. So the total of the payment of the stinky and spoiled foods was 10,000php. Too bad. Now we just charge it to experience. We asked apology to those people who came and ate. Now the caterer might have been so embarrassed too that we haven't seen her going out of their house these past few days.

During the wake of my sister for 4 days, there were services and preaching every night. Different pastors from different churches preached. There were singing of hymns and special songs after wards. The first night, my hubby did the preaching. On the second night, a pastor Rolly Guiang preached, on the 3rd night, pastor Melchor Aquino preached and on the 4th night, pastor Yanie Genonangan preached. Those were very powerful messages and I just hope and pray that some people were blessed by those messages. There were many people during the last night of the wake and pastor Yanie was on fire in delivering his message. One of my aunts said she was blessed listening to the message. Those messages were not intended for Violy no more because she's already in heaven. It was for the people who are still passing through this life and in case they don't know yet where are they going to spend eternity, then they would be enlightened. Salvation is now and not tomorrow or next month for it might be too late.

It's been 9 days since my sister passed away. It still hurt me thinking that I will not be seeing her everyday anymore. How I miss my dear li'l sister Violy. I miss her smile, her voice, her laughter and everything about her. Every time I go to their house which is just next door at the back of our house, I imagine her sitting at the couch where she used to sit when she was sick. Their house reminds me a lot of Violy. It's like her memories were imprinted at the 4 corners of that house. I know it's not easy for her 2 kids to lose their mom at their young age. I know the feeling, I've been in their shoes when my 3 siblings and I lost our mom when we were young. My heart goes out to my 2 nephews and most especially to my brother-in-law. I'm pretty sure he's still grieving and missing my sister so much. Lord, please help us recover from the loss of my li'l sister. Heal us O Lord and give us the comfort and peace that we need.

My sister Violy went to be with the Lord last Monday, September 27th. It was really painful on our part to see her go. I have three siblings but she's my only sister and the closest to me among other siblings. I told her many times that I was not yet ready to lose her. My family and I prayed for her healing. I cried out my heart to God almost every night pleading the Lord to heal her miraculously. I asked a lot of people to pray for her around the world. I cling and claimed God's promises in the Bible. My sister didn't lose hope and fought till she can until her physical body succumb to the illnesses that she was suffering. Sometimes, questions arose in my mind why God didn't answer our prayers to heal my sister. But then who are we to contradict God's will. He knows what's best for my sister. Though it's really hard and painful in our hearts, we had to let her go. My dear sister is not suffering no more. No more sickness, no pain in heaven where my sister is. Her soul was saved by the blood of the Lamb and she's now in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The other day, September 23rd, my sister Violy celebrated her 46th birthday. My sister is not feeling well since May until now. She's battling the big C and we are praying for a miracle for her. Her office mates came to visit her and they brought pancit bihon and a roll cake to celebrate her birthday. They said they get used to celebrate my sis' birthday every year in their office so they decided to come and celebrate her birthday in my sis' house. Early evening, my brother-in-law cooked pancit palabok, shanghai lumpia and he bought a roll cake. Before we ate, my hubby had a devotion and after that, he prayed for Violy thanking God for giving her another year. We also prayed that God will heal my sis and touch her in a special way. I know my sis has suffered so much but then she still hold to her faith. We believe in our hearts that this thing will come to pass and she will come out victorious with the help of God. Happy birthday sis, I wish you well and I pray that you get well soon.

Hubby and I went to the immigration office today to renew his visa because it will expire on the 11th of December. The lady there told us before that 3 months before his visa expires we have to renew it. It didn't take long to file it because there were no other customers there except us. We were done before lunch. The lady there told us to call her after 2 months to follow up. Then hubby drove to find a place to eat lunch. I suggested to him to go to the restaurant in beach resort to enjoy the fresh air and nice view. We drove to Nalinac Beach Resort where hubby and I stayed for a couple of days more than 7 years ago. We were disappointed that their restaurant is not serving foods these days.
So we went to the nearby resort, the Long Beach Resort and we're glad they are serving foods and they don't have many customers. Their restaurant is just by the beach so hubby and I enjoyed the view and the cool breeze. I don't care if the foods there are pricey but you can't beat the nice view and the fresh, cool air there. It was so relaxing. I wanted to take some photos but I was so disappointed that I didn't bring the memory card of my camera. I left it in my other purse when I had some of the photos developed. So we just used my camera phone but then the photos are not as vivid as that from my Canon digicam. Oh well, at least we had some souvenirs. By the way, hubby and I ordered fish steak with buttered vegetables and a choice of either fries or rice. Hubby chose fries and I chose rice of course. The meal was good, hubby had iced tea and I had water.

Hubby and I celebrated our 8th wedding anniversary last September 11th. How time flies! It feels like it's only been yesterday when we said "I do". This is the 3nd time that we celebrated our anniversary here in my homeland. The first time was in the year 2004 and then 2009 and this year 2010. We planned to just go out and eat because I don't want to prepare and cook. It's so tiresome and I just want to eat and enjoy but then my sister needed my help. She's been sick and she needed to have a dextrose that day. Hubby understand so we ended up cooking in the house. I asked Jhun to cook goulash and my brother Celso fried the chicken wings and my 2 nephews grilled pork chops and my brother made dinakdakan. We ordered pancit and bought ice cream so that was it. We ate supper just us and my family. We didn't invite the neighbors.

Two weeks ago, hubby and I bought a new refrigerator. It's a 12 cubic foot LG ref with deodorizer inside and a nice pink flowery design in front of its door. They said this is a new arrival. It's been a while that hubby wanted to buy a new and bigger ref because our old refrigerator is so small, only a 6 cubic foot. The problem was we didn't have the budget for that, much more pay it in cash. So what we did, we bought it in installment for 6 months. We paid the down payment and will go pay the monthly installments every 25th of the month. If we will be paying on or before the due date, they will give us a rebate. I like our new ref, it has more room for meat, ice, foods, veggies, etc. Hubby can make now his iced tea and put it there. Before, there was no room for his pitcher with his tea. We just have to squeeze our monthly budget for 6 months. See the difference between our old and new refrigerator. Big difference huh!

I've been so sleepy the whole day but I just can't because hubby and I have been running around. We went to the hardware store to buy some electrical wires for the house where we are having our Sunday worship services. We applied for electricity for that house and we had to get all the requirements and the materials needed. Tomorrow, the electrician will install the electric meter and the electric wires and then we'll just have to wait for the electric company to come and inspect it then connect the electricity.
From time to time I receive e-mails from hubby. Some of them I just keep in my inbox and if it catches my attention, I share it here. Well, here's one forwaded e-mail that he sent to me that made me smile. Men, this is for you guys. I hope it will make your day by reading it. Smile!!!
At last a guy has taken the time to write this all down
Finally , the guys' side of the story. (I must admit, it's pretty good.)
We always hear "the rules" from the female side.
Now here are the rules from the male side.
These are our rules!
Please note.. these are all numbered "1 "
1. Men are NOT mind readers.
1. Learn to work the toilet seat.
You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down.
We need it up, you need it down.
You don't hear us complaining about you leaving it down.
1. Sunday sports It's like the full moon
or the changing of the tides.
Let it be.
1. Crying is blackmail.
1. Ask for what you want.
Let us be clear on this one:
Subtle hints do not work!
Strong hints do not work!
Obvious hints do not work!
Just say it!
1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question.
1. Come to us with a problem only if you want help solving it. That's what we do.
Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.
1. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument.
In fact, all comments become Null and void after 7 Days.
1. If you think you're fat, you probably are.
Don't ask us.
1. If something we said can be interpreted two ways and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the other one
1. You can either ask us to do something
Or tell us how you want it done.
If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself.
1. Whenever possible, Please say whatever you have to say during commercials..
1. ALL men see in only 16 colors, like Windows default settings.
Peach, for example, is a fruit, not a color. Pumpkin is also a fruit. We have no idea what mauve is.
1. Christopher Columbus did NOT need directions and neither do we.
1. If it itches, it will be scratched.
We do that.
1. If we ask what is wrong and you say "nothing," We will act like nothing's wrong.
We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle.
1. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, expect an answer you don't want to hear.
1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear is fine...Really .
1. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss such topics as football or golf.
1. You have enough clothes.
1.. You have too many shoes.
1. I am in shape. Round IS a shape!
1. Thank you for reading this.
Yes, I know, I have to sleep on the couch tonight;
But did you know men really don't mind that? It's like camping.
I blogged here before that I had my two teeth pulled. That was last month only and now I have a tooth problem again. My left canine tooth got broke last week. Last night I had to take a pain reliever because it was throbbing. I hate toothache. I need to go to the doctor first to get a clearance and then go to the dentist and have it pulled. I need to have the courage again to see a doctor and a dentist.

It's Saturday and hubby and I went to buy a ladder in the store. He need it to install some electric lights in the house where we hold our worship services. He don't want to borrow from other people so we had to sacrifice our budget just to buy it. The ladder we bought is made of aluminum, folded and 7 feet tall. It's so pricey, almost hundred dollars. Hubby just replaced the muffler of our car and next week we will have the hood of our car repainted. The paint is coming off. We have to limit our expenses so we will not be spending more than our means.
We're supposed to go on visitation this afternoon but it rained cats and dogs so we decided not to go. The farmers need the rain so their crops will thrive and will yield more. Tonight I cooked some foods for tomorrow's lunch after our service.

It's Sunday today and it's the day of the Lord. We had a great service this morning. First we had Sunday school and the kids were always eager to attend. In fact they were already there waiting on us when we arrived. My sister went with us and attend thought she's still weak and not feeling well. She wanted to join the worship service for the Lord. She said that she will serve the Lord all her life if the good Lord will give her another chance. She asked God to heal her illness so she can be used by the Lord for His ministry. We've been praying for her healing since she started to feel pain a few months ago. We believe the Lord will hear our prayers and heal her in His perfect time. After the Sunday school, we had our worship service. I was so glad that we had a full house again in the small living room of the house where we are holding our services. I really thank God for working on the lives of those people. They don't used to attend services before. Of course nobody invited them too. Though there's a church a mile away, it seems like nobody cared to witness to them and invite them to church.
My brother-in-law played the guitar and I led the praise and worship singing. He's very good in playing musical instruments and he has a good singing voice too. He even rendered a special song before the message. George message today is about The Living Water. I translated it in Tagalog so the people can fully understand. Most people don't understand English preaching especially if it's from an American. They said their English is too slang. So I tried the best way I can to translate it. Maybe later on if they will get use to listening to George's preaching, they won't need a translator. But for now, we gotta do what we gotta do to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. I just pray that the Lord will deal with those people in our church and convict them of their sins so they will repent and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

I'm thankful that my two right molar teeth were already extracted and I have my dentures made. I still have a tooth problem though and that's my left canine tooth. It has a very big cavity and it's nearly broken. I'm just waiting for it to break and that's it. The dentist don't want to pull it unless I get a clearance from the doctor of my blood pressure. One dentist advised me to go to the hospital and have it pulled there. The other dentist told me to get a clearance then I'll go back to him and let him pull my canine tooth. Just thinking of going to the doctor make me nervous. I hope and pray that God will give me the courage and confidence to overcome this. Perfect love cast out fear and God is love.
This afternoon hubby and I drove to our friends' place but their front gate was locked. They probably went somewhere. Unfortunately, I forgot my cellphone at the house so I can't call them. Hubby decided to drive to the dairy farm and buy some fresh milk. It's been more than a month already that they didn't deliver milk so hubby can't wait anymore. He bought 3 bottles of milk and he will give one bottle to our friend, When we got home, hubby and I ate cereals with fresh milk for our snacks. Fresh milk from the dairy farm taste better than the milk sold in the grocery stores.

It's been busy days for me the past few days. I celebrated my birthday last week and I invited friends, neighbors, loved ones and my Sunday school kids. We prepared some foods enough to feed my invited guests like beef caldereta, chicken adobo, chop suey, goulash, fried chicken and 2 roll cakes. Two days after my birthday I had my dentures made. It took 2 days to finish it so now I already have my new dentures after 3 weeks of missing my 5 teeth. It was hard to chew my foods without my teeth. I am happy that my dentures look nice and the price is reasonable. Now I can smile as often as I can without covering my mouth.

I didn't have time yet to go back to the dentist to have my dentures made. Hubby and I have been busy helping our friends to settle their stuffs. When I went to the dentist to have my 2 teeth extracted, he asked me to remove my dentures before he extracted my teeth and he gave me tissue paper to wrap it. I thought I put it in my purse but when I was ready to wear it again I can't find it in my purse no more. Maybe I had accidentally threw it in the trash. There's no tellin' how it happened but OMG, without my dentures, my one front tooth is missing and two in the right side. I would go to see the dentist this week and have this thing fix.

I was having problems with three of my teeth. My left canine tooth has a large cavity and most of the time it throbs. It even had abscess in it. Also my left second molar broke 2 months ago and my left wisdom tooth was already loose. I went to a lady dentist last month and asked her to extract my canine tooth but she said it has abscess so she prescribed antibiotics. She asked if I have some illness and I told her I am hypertensive. She told me that I need to secure a medical clearance from a medical doctor in the hospital and have my canine tooth extracted there. She didn't even attempt to pull my broken molar and my loose wisdom tooth in my right. I bought the antibiotic and the abscess in my canine tooth disappeared. I didn't go to a medical doctor yet.
Yesterday, I asked my hubby to drive me to the dentist. I finally got the courage to go to another dentist and told him of my teeth problem. First I showed him my canine tooth and then he asked me if I have any systemic conditions like heart disease or diabetes. I told him I am hypertensive and he told me that I have to get a clearance from a cardiologist before he will extract my canine tooth. He said that my canine tooth is still tight and the root is deep. It would be bloody he said. Then I showed him my broken molar and wisdom tooth in my right jaw. He said he can pull both those teeth even though I'm hypertensive because they are already loose and mobile. I suggested to just extract one tooth and then the other one next time. He said it's better to extract both. I never had two teeth extracted in one day before. I was so nervous before and during the procedure and I even told the dentist. He told me to relax. Imagine, the last time I went to the dentist to have my tooth pulled was 10 years ago. He injected anesthesia in my gum and after that I excused myself to go to the restroom to pee. My nervousness made me pee, LOL! When I went back to the dental chair, the dentist began to extract the broken tooth and it's just a matter of maybe a minute and he showed me my tooth. Then he started to extract my wisdom tooth and it was so easy for him to extract it too. Those two teeth were already loose so the dentist didn't have a hard time pulling it. He asked me to rinse my mouth with water after each tooth were extracted and I saw blood! He prescribed to me some medicines to buy and then I paid him and off we went to the pharmacy and then drove home. This morning, the bleeding stopped so I was able to eat solid foods. I thank God for giving me the courage to have my teeth extracted.

Hubby and I went to the market today to buy some veggies, fruits and fish. As usual, he waited on me in the car while I did the buying. The problem was, the stuffs I bought were so heavy and I had a hard time carrying it to the car. Then we went back home and I did the cooking. My brother who used to cook for us went to Baguio yesterday to accompany my sister as she recuperates there. So I cooked my favorite veggies with fried fish and we still have the leftover beans in the refrigerator. After we ate I did the dishes and while washing it, the power went off. That's too bad, power just came back this evening after we had our supper.

How time flies! It's the 2nd day of July already. Where did the month of June go? It seems that it passed by so quick. We've been busy praying for my sister's healing who is suffering of severe stomach pain the past few weeks. We bombarded heaven with lots of prayers from me and my entire family and we're still doing it. I know and believe that God answers prayers in His perfect time. We just have to be patient and pray without ceasing.

I'm having problem with my teeth right now. My left canine tooth has a big cavity and has already an abscess. Then one of my teeth in my right side was broken and also my wisdom tooth near it needs to be extracted. Oh my, what a mess! I went to the dentist last week but she advised me to take antibiotics so the abscess in my canine tooth will go away. She said that the anesthesia won't take effect if there's an abscess in my gum. I haven't taken antibiotics in a long time and I read the side effects of antibiotics that's why I'm adamant to take it. I have already bought the prescribed antibiotics and I had taken 1 capsule but I didn't continue after that. I'll just wait till I get the acidophilus that Shelly mailed to me before taking the antibiotics. Meanwhile, I have read that powdered charcoal is good for abscess so I'm trying it now. I hope it will work.

Good morning everyone! I woke up early today around 6:15 AM. I slept so good last night and thanks be to God for watching over me and also for this beautiful morning. The sun is shining so bright in this 3rd Saturday of June. We have a lot of things to do today and hubby and I will be running around in just an hour. He has to buy some wood for the table that he's going to make for the Sunday school kids. They need it for their coloring time. Then we will go soul winning and give out tracts. It would be a busy day.

Hubby and I went to the mall today to buy groceries and then we went also to check the prices of Bibles at the Christian bookstore. We want to buy some Bibles to give out to my Sunday school kids. Some goodhearted friends of ours donated money to buy Bibles and we are so grateful to them. When we started our outreach ministry for the kids, hubby told me that the Lord will bless us doing His work. It's true. Not long after that, some friends of ours were moved by the Lord to donate money for our ministry. What's so amazing is that, I didn't even asked them or solicit from them. They just learned that we started an outreach ministry for the kids and the Lord had touched them to help us financially. We were able to buy notebooks for my Sunday School kids to help them out in their schooling. Most of them belong to poor families. Now our next project is to buy Bibles for them. Not even one of them have a Bible. Now that we know the prize, we will have to buy it next time we go to the store. Thank you Lord for your provisions.

Just been busy the whole day doing the laundry. Our hamper was full of dirty clothes and even before I finished the last load, our hamper got some dirty clothes again. Hubby kept putting dirty clothes there. It's an unending task, the washing of our dirty clothes. It's so nice to wear clean and freshly washed clothes so I just have to keep washing them when they get dirty. Anyways, I just put them in the washing machine and after 48 minutes, I will just hang them in the clothes line.

It's now the month of June and the rainy season began here in my homeland. The temperature became a li'l bit cooler but the humidity is still high. Hubby had been sweating profusely lately. He said it feels hotter now than last month. I didn't agree with him because the temperature went down since it's been raining. I told him he got the sweating problem when he sweat and let his wet shirt clings in his body and then went in front of the electric fan. I know because it happened to me before when I did the same thing. I had to boil different kinds of herbal leaves for him last night like and he used it to take a bath this morning. This is what I did when I experienced profuse sweating and I know it works so asked hubby to do it too. He told me after he took the bath that he might turn green, LOL! I told him he might do it again tomorrow to make sure he would really turn green!

It's been raining up here in the city of pines for the past few days. We've been here for a week now and we were truly relieved from the hot weather that we had in the lowland. Hubby and I went in the mall yesterday and we just goofed around. Even though it's weekday, the mall was crowded. We ate lunch at KFC. Most of the fastfoods in that mall were full. It's a good thing we found an empty table before the others got it. I was the one who fall inline and ordered our lunch. Hubby said that while I was there getting our foods, lots of people were there looking for a vacant table. I ordered 2 Chinese imperial (chicken with spicy sauce and rice and fried eggplant) and 2 iced tea drinks. After lunch, we went to the christian bookstore and bought teacher's manual for my Sunday school. Hubby bought a hymnal with the story behind those hymns. He's been reading it since we got home.

It's so hot and humid in my hometown right now. My hubby and I went to the mall the other day and we parked our car in the parking lot at about 10:00 AM. We went inside the mall then bought some stuffs and we went to eat lunch at the food court. We then proceeded to go to the grocery and we spent maybe less than an hour there. When we were done, my hubby told me that he'll go ahead so he can start the AC of the car to make it cooler. After a few minutes I went out and went inside the car. Oh my gosh, it was so hot and it felt like the car was inside the oven. The heat made us sweat and feel weak. I told hubby that I wouldn't want to go out again next time with this hot weather.
Yesterday, we came up here in the city of pines to cool down and escape the summer heat in the lowlands. It's cool up here and we don't need electric fan or AC. Hubby and I felt relieved. We will spend a week here and I hope when we go back to my hometown, the weather will be a little cooler.

It's been a few days now since hubby had diarrhea and abdominal pain. I suggested that he should go to the doctor but he said no. I just gave him some pills for stomach ache and also gave him anti-diarrhea pills. The pain subsided but hubby said his stomach has still a weird feeling. I boiled some lemon grass leaves because I read that it's good for stomach ache and diarrhea. I don't know if the hot weather has something to do with hubby's stomach ache because I talked to 2 ladies here and they said they had also the same problem these past few days. They felt stomach cramps and diarrhea too. I just hope that my hubby will feel better soon because I am restless when he's not feeling well.

Last Monday, hubby and I were invited by my God-daughter, Aika to celebrate her 22nd birthday in Baguio. She and her family together with some of her church family went with us to Burnham Park. They hired a van and so off we went. Aika prepared foods and she cooked malunggay with camote, spaghetti, boneless bangus. Hmmm, the foods were so yummy and I was so full. My hubby and Aika's hubby love to eat malunggay. It's unusual for Americans to see them eating malunggay but both of our American men love it. The spaghetti was also good but hubby don't like spaghetti so he just ate a lot of malunggay and fried boneless bangus. I forgot my diet that day and I just enjoyed the foods.
After we ate, we went walking around Burnham Park and took some photos. After that we decided to go ride a boat. There were lots of boaters out there enjoying the scenic view around. Aika's big brother did the rowing and he really did a good job being first timer to row a boat. Well, just take a look at the photos that we took and see the scenic view in Baguio.

Time to update my blog again. I'm just in the mood to make a post since this blog of mine got a PR again after more than 2 years since it's PR3 was ripped off. It's a long wait to get my PR back huh! I just hope it will stay with me for a while. Please Mr. G let my PR1 stay and if possible raise it to PR3 as it used to be.
Last Saturday was my youngest nephew, Mark Wendell's 11th birthday. His parents decided to celebrate it at Botao Spring Resort. We went there last month but the in-laws of my sister were not able go with us. They wanted to see it too so this time they went with us. They traveled all the way from Baguio. My sister and her hubby cooked pancit, and they bought roasted chicken, grilled catfish and grilled bangus. plus they also bought some sea weeds and watermelon. My sister's in-laws brought vegetable salad and we really enjoyed the foods. I think I gained another pound that day.
After lunch, the kids and the adults went to swim in the pool. The water was cold because it's a spring water. It has no chlorine that's why it's better than the regular swimming pools which are loaded with stinky chlorine. Chlorine is not good for our health. Hubby and I didn't go swimming in the pool because as I said, the water was cold and there were lots of people. Besides hubby prefer going to the beach. One of these we gonna go there at the beach again to beat the heat and to buy some fresh fish.

I just can't believe that Mr. G has given this blog of mine a PR1. I just noticed it a while ago so I went to check it with PR checker from different websites. The PR is valid so It's not just a glitch. It's been more than 2 years since Mr. G took away my PR3 and I was wondering if I will ever get it back. Well, I didn't get back the PR3 but PR1 is better than nothing at all. I would be much happier if Mr. G will restore my PR3. But thank you anyway.

It's been a week since we went to the city of pines for the holy week. The reason we went there was to escape the heat even just for a few days. We spent 3 nights there and most of the time we just stayed in the house and watched movies. First night we watched Left Behind. This movie is about the rapture that will happen in the last days. Then the next day, we watched Big Daddy. This is a comedy movie about a single guy who adopted a 5 year old boy. I've watched it before but I like it so I watched it again. Then we watched my all time favorite movie, Facing The Giants. It was the 3rd time that I watched it but still I was touched and teary-eyed before the movie ends. It strengthens my faith as I watched this movie. I highly recommend it to everybody.

Hubby and I went to buy some materials and snacks for our coming VBS which will start on Monday. There were about 20 kids who signed up and I'm excited to teach them and tell them stories about Jesus. Also we will be having some games, singing, memory verse and we will do some crafts. This will be my first time to teach VBS and I pray that the Lord will bless me and the kids. I will post here the updates of my VBS class next week.

I woke up at 3:40 AM today to go to the bathroom and when I went back to bed I can't sleep no more. I kept tossing around and trying to sleep but I was not able to sleep. So what I did, I got up and open my laptop and went online. I've been farmvilling for a couple of hours and then I decided to update this blog. I have some blogging tasks anyways waiting on me to finish it so I might as well do it now while the internet connection is still fast. Later, it will be as slow as turtle when all the peeps around are awake and go online.

It's been a while that we've been looking for an economy car to buy. Meanwhile, my hubby and I have been borrowing my sister's van. Hubby and I had a van before but I asked my sister to sell it while we were abroad almost three years ago. While we were abroad, my sister and her family had been using our van for more than 4 years. So when I asked them to sell it because we thought we can't go home yet, they decided to buy also their own van. So since we've been here, we've been borrowing their van for a year until last week we decided to buy our own car. It's an old 1990 Toyota Corolla XL car but still runs good and fuel efficient. Hubby and I wanted to buy a van but our budget won't allow us. We can only afford an economy car so we can have our own transportation and we can go wherever we want to go like visitation and going to the villages to give out tracts and have a Bible study. I told hubby that when we have enough money in the near future then we sell our car and buy us a van for our church ministry. We just bought the car yesterday and right now we are happy that the Lord had provided us what we need. We thank and praise you Lord for your provisions.

Well, it's been a while since I updated this blog. Since my auntie Aning passed away last month, I went into hiatus and I neglected my blogs. Everytime I think of my auntie, it's like I wanted to cry. I really, really miss her a lot. I love her and losing her is like losing a part of me. But life has to go on. I know that someday I gonna see her again in heaven. You can read my post about my auntie here.

Last Saturday, hubby and I went with my nephews and their parents to Manila for their field trip. Hubby and I decided to go with them so we can see those tourist spots there that we haven't seen yet. There were 2 big buses filled with students and their parents plus a van with the staff and faculty members of the school. We left at 3:00 AM and the we arrived in Manila at 7:00 AM. First stop was at the Quezon City Circle. We had our breakfast there. We brought some foods and we just bought coffee for hubby and hot chocolate for the 2 boys. There were quite a few buses that were parked there obviously hired by other schools for their field trip too. After we ate, we went to the Quezon City Museum which is just a walking distance. I'm not very fond in going to museums but I just did it for curiosity. I know that was an educational field trip for the students and they learned something about our first president Manuel Quezon. Next stop will be in my next post.

It's our church's 1st year anniversary today. It feels like it was only yesterday when we got here in my homeland. Time flies so fast when you're having fun. We had a good celebration in our church this morning. We invited a guest preacher and we had a good worship service. I invited some of our neighbors too and I was so glad they came for the 1st time. After the worship service we served lunch for all our guests and members. We ordered the foods from our neighbor who is a caterer. The foods were so good and we had lots of leftovers. We had more than enough for supper.

This is a late post but I just wanna write here that my hubby got his permanent resident visa renewable after a year. Next step is to get his ACR card but since we are not yet planning to travel soon, we decided to get it later. Right now, we can concentrate on our ministry here. Hubby is scheduled to have a Bible study and he will be the speaker at the police station here in our town. Another Baptist pastor has invited him and he gladly accepted it. Now he's looking forward to it and that will be on the 21st of this month. It's a blessing to have the opportunity to share the gospel to those men in uniforms.

Well, what did I do today? I read my Bible early in the morning. It's the first month of the year and I decided to start reading again the Old Testament. I started from Genesis and I already read 19 chapters. I have read the entire Bible a few times already and every time I read it, I learned something new. My Bible is King James version and you know what? Many years ago, I didn't want to read King James because it's so hard to understand but as I prayed to the Holy Spirit and read it a few times, I can now easily understand. Both hubby and I are using the King James Bible because it's unedited, unlike the other versions which most of the verses were deleted. I hope to finish reading the entire Bible before the year ends that is if Jesus Christ will not yet return.

A blessed new year to everyone. I hope that everybody had a good time celebrating the holidays. My family and I had a blast celebrating Christmas and New Year. We celebrated Christmas in Baguio and we spent 3 days there with hubby, my siblings and their families. We had lots of foods during Christmas midnight. We ate and ate and gobbled and gobbled to our hearts' delight. Then after that we opened our gifts.
New Years eve was also a busy one for us. We prepared some foods again and we welcomed New Year with fireworks, firecrackers and of course lots of foods. Hubby gave a devotion before we ate. Well, it was indeed a very nice celebration. Celebrating new year here in the Philippines is merrier and happier compared there in the states. Every new year that I spent there was so dry and I just slept on midnight. There's no place like my homeland in celebrating new year and I'm glad I was able to celebrate it here this year after 6 new years and Christmases that I spent in the states. Home is where my heart is. Thank you Lord for bringing me and my hubby home. US, see you again in the near future.
