The place where we stayed was in the 3rd floor in one of the hotel buildings. It has 2 bedrooms, and a kitchen complete with utensils and appliances. The living room was spacious and the dining table is good for 6 people. Even our room has a small refrigerator and coffeemaker, etc. Melissa later found out that our suite costs $450 a night. Wow! It's too expensive. Her parents had a time sharing in that place so they were able to use it and pay only a small amount for the whole time they gonna stay there until Wednesday or Thursday. Hubby and I were so thankful to Wayne and Melissa for inviting us there. We had a good time visiting Lake Texoma and went out sightseeing around the nearby cities. Thank you Lord for a good weekend vacation and for all your unending blessings and provisions. I can't thank you enough Lord. I praise and worship your Mighty name. I praise you Lord Jesus!

The clerk asked me if I can wait 4 to 6 weeks to get my passport and I said yes. I paid $116.05 for my passport and that includes my passport photo. It so happened that the clerk who is in-charge of the passport application is a pastor of a church here in our city. I talked to him and he told me that when he started his church, only him, his wife and their son were attending the church service for a year. He almost gave up but a fellow pastor told him to just keep the door of the church open. Then after a while some people came in and now they have an average of 40 to 50 people in their church now. Their church services is now being aired on cable tv station. It was a great story to hear and I was really blessed. Never give up and just trust in the Lord.

My hubby told me to deliver a speech and so I did. I stood up while everyday were eating and I thanked everybody who came and those who brought foods and decorated our dining tables. I also told them that I'm happy to become a US citizen after a long process. There were lots of paper works and lots of money too were needed for the filing of those application forms. At last, my immigration journey came to an end. I told them I am honored to become a US citizen and be able to live in this great and blessed country, USA. After my speech, our pastor gave me a present from the church, a book about America's founding history. It was signed by all our church members who were present. I also got a Mexican recipe book from my friend Toni and Ms. Patty gave me a gift card from Golden Corral where my hubby and I love to eat. I really enjoyed the party and I thank God for my church family.

The ceremony went on smoothly and there was a short program. My hubby was busy taking pictures and he was my official photographer and video man. After we were sworn in, they gave each of us our naturalization certificate. And after that we had a picture taking and then I went to get my voter's registration form. I want to vote and we were lucky because tomorrow will be the last day to mail in our voter's form. They also gave us the application form for US passport so we can secure our own passport if we want to travel. I would definitely get my US passport as soon as possible.
Then we went out of the Convention Center and oh my, there was a heavy traffic going out from the parking lot. Hubby drove out of Arlington, passed Fort Worth and we stopped by at Burleson to eat. I wanted to eat in a buffet restaurant because I was starving and my stomach was growling. We didn't have time to eat breakfast because we have to leave early. I requested my hubby that we go to Golden Corral in Burleson and it was already passed 1:00 PM when we ate our lunch. I was full after we ate but my stomach was heavy. It was like I had a heartburn, lol!
