Walking Time...

I blogged a few days ago that I've been walking in the evenings just around our block. I did it a few days consecutively. I feel so good after I walked and also I slept better. While I was walking in front of our house, my hubby was in our porch watching me walking back and forth. I asked him to come walk with me but he answered no. He said he's done a lot of walking in his job. So I kept on walking by myself and then hubby went to get the camera and he took pictures of me while I was walking. So I now have souvenirs in my daily walking.

Daddy's Corner Tag

I was tagged by Vhiel. Thanks for this tag sis.

This is actually a great time to do this tag because Father's Day is almost here and I am including the picture of my hubby.
I thank the Lord for giving me my hubby who loves and accepts me for what and who I am.

2) Blog Brag about your husband - yes, the father of your child/ren. As I’ve said singles may also join by bragging about their own fathers, or even grandfathers. It doesn’t matter! Of course, Daddy bloggers themselves may also join, but you have to blog about your fathers and not about yourselves, deal? Okay. Good.
3) Add your blog in the master list below linking to the post that you just made. Or if you wish, do it as how I’ve done it in my other blog by adding a new page.

Long Lost Daughter

The Irish daughter had not been to the house for over 5 years. Upon her
return, her father cussed her, "Where have you been all this time, you
ingrate! Why didn't you write us, not even a line to let us know how you
were doing? Why didn't you call? You little tramp! Don't you know what you
put your Mum through?"

The girl, crying, replied, "Sniff, sniff...Dad... I became a prostitute..."

"WHAT? Out of here, you shameless harlot! Sinner! You're a disgrace to this
family - I don't want to see you again!"

"OK, Dad, - as you wish. I just came back to give Mom this luxury fur coat,
title deeds to a ten bed-room mansion, plus a savings account certificate
for £5 million. For my little brother, this gold Rolex, and for you Daddy,
the spanking new Mercedes Limited Edition convertible that's parked
outside, plus a life time membership to the Country Club...(takes a
breath)---an invitation for you all to spend New Year's Eve on board my new
yacht in the Riviera, and..."

"Now what was it you said you had become?"

Girl, crying again, "Sniff, sniff ... A Prostitute Dad,... sniff, sniff."

"Oh! Be Jesus! - You scared me half to death, girl! I thought you said a
Protestant!!! Come here and give your old man a hug."

My Daily Walk...

It's been a few days now that I resumed my daily walking in the early evening. In fact I just got in from walking tonight. I just walked back and forth on the sidewalk in front of our house in our block. I used to walk at the alley at the back of our house and walk a few blocks but since the neighborhood got some dogs now at their backyards, I refrained myself in walking there. I don't like seeing dogs barking at me even though they're inside the fence. They still scares me and their barking irritates my eardrums.
It's been humid outside tonight but it's good the wind was blowing. It reminds me of the weather in the Philippines. I walked 30 minutes tonight and it made sweat a little. I'm pretty sure I will have a good sleep tonight.

David Cook, American Idol 2008

So America has voted and David Cook got the most coveted title of American Idol 2008. Imagine, he got 12 million votes more than what David A got! It's been a tough competition between the 2 Davids. I thought last night, David Archuleta made a good performance and outdid the older David. In fact even the judges gave last nights performance to the younger David. I even voted for him by sending text vote. But the result came out tonight and David Cook came out the winner of the American Idol. Both Davids are very good and either of them deserve to win. Congratulations David Cook!

Too Hot

Well, it's still spring but the weather here in Texas now is getting hot. It's the first time this season that the temperature hit 100s today. It was 102 degrees F this afternoon. This morning was cool but it's in the afternoon that it gets hot. I heard in the news that California, Nevada and Arizona were already in the 100s a few days ago. Hubby was telling me that it's good we don't live there but look at the temperature here now. It's getting hotter. How much more during summer time. I would not want to go out if it's hot.

Meeting Our Friends

It was my second time to meet my dear online friend Ging last Monday when she came here in our house together with her hubby and some of their friends. Ging is the one whom I learned about paid blogging when I read her friendster blog about it almost a year ago. That was the start of my paid blogging income.

We had a great time last Mother's Day and my friend Ann and I prepared some foods for our guests. We had some Filipino foods like pancit, lumpia, adobo, sinigang na bangus, meatloaf and hubby made banana pudding which the guys love. Arlene and Raul brought fruit salad, natice cakes and ripe mangoes. We had some picture taking too and chatting of course. It was only a short get together party because Craig and Ging have to drive back to San Antonio that afternoon because they flew back to Maryland the next day. I'm glad they sacrificed the long drive just to meet us here. I hope next time that we see each other again, we will have enough time to chat and have more fun.

With Our Friends

Belated happy mother's day to all moms out there. Sorry this is a late greeting but it's better late than never. I was busy for a few days because we have company in the house for 3 days. Our friends James and Sofia spent three nights in our house before they left for South Carolina. They're good friends of ours and we surely gonna miss them. James is in the navy and he will be stationed in Japan next month with his family. Sometimes I asked my hubby why is it that good friends of ours left us after we had developed a very close bonding together. Another good friends of ours, Raul and Arlene will be leaving for Japan too next month. I told Raul that I will be missing them and also the supply of crappy fish. He often gave us a lot of crappy fish that he caught in the lake. Also Arlene has given me a lot of stuffs like clothes, purses and shoes. Two couples who are close friends of ours will be leaving soon. People come and go in our lives but that's life. In everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven. Here are some photos taken a couple of nights ago when Sofia and James were here and Ann and Jeff came by and we had supper here in the house.

Kissable Tag

I was tagged by PrettyLifeOnline. I was hesitant to do this because I don't think I have a photo with a kissable lips wearing my lipstick. Well I tried to browse my photos and I came up with the above photo. I was wearing my favorite color of lipstick. I don't like lipstick with a loud color.

"Kissable" Tag Procedure:

1. Post a picture of yourself wearing your favorite colored lipstick.
2. Tag two or more bloggers.
3. And don’t forget to link the blogger who tagged you!

I'm tagging Twerlyn, Ellaine, Ivy and Mica. Let me know after you have posted your photos so I can visit your blogs and see your kissable lips, he-he!

Stumble Upon Meme

Juliana wants me to join this meme, so I’m giving it a try.
I read that it is possible to increase the traffic of your blog through StumbleUpon. So I have decided to try it out, with your help of course. Here is the concept:
Stumble the pages that link to you. In this way you drive more traffic to the page containing your link and thus you hope that some of that traffic comes back to you via the link on that page.
Supposedly, we are to link ourselves to Stumbled sites to generate the traffic that we want. But what if we could just Stumble on each other’s sites/blogs?
Let’s modify things a bit and make our very own StumbleWorthy list. Why have a list, you say? A list is necessary for the participants to StumbleUpon. And also, it’s needed to check whether the participants are really Stumble-ing. Plus, it helps your Technorati authority soar high! Neat, huh? Idea of having a list is actually because of The Big Bang. Click on the link to join.
Here are the rules:
2. Add your site(s) to the list. Just be sure to post the “StumbleWorthy List” at each site you add.
3. Let me know your blog’s name and url by leaving me a comment HERE. I will add you to the master list.
4. Come back and copy the master list back to your site, often. This will allow the new comers to achieve equal benefit as the late comers do.
5. Register in StumbleUpon and install the toolbar.
6. Go to the sites found on the list and give them a thumb up (I like it!).
7. Add me as your friend in StumbleUpon: Blanne.
Note: Your url will be deleted in the Master List if you do not comply to the given rules.
~StumbleWorthy List~
1. Hit-or-Miss 2. Mommy’s Little Corner 3. A Simple Life 4. moms….. check nyo 5. Juliana’s Lair 6. Juliana’s World 6. My Library 7. My Online Journal 8. In My Kitchen 9. Thoughts Of Me 10. Precious Words 11. My Colorful World 12. list your blog here.

Pretty Flowers

Hubby and I went to Sutherlands last Saturday and we were looking for the bluebonnets flowers near that store but unfortunately we were not able to find it. My friend Sofia and her daughter had taken pictures there last year with the bluebonnet flowers and they were so beautiful. Hubby and I ended up in the nursery of Sutherlands and I just took photos there with the colorful flowers. I decided to buy a red Gerbera daisy because I was attracted with its pretty flowers. We also bought in the store a shower filter for our bathroom. Then we headed home.

Another Banquet

Last Saturday, I attended the Mother and Daughter banquet which was organized by our church. The venue was at the Secret Garden Tea Room in downtown Wichita Falls. My friend Toni came and picked me up before 11:00 AM. The banquet started at 11:00 AM and when we arrived, a lot of people were already there. Toni told me that she forgot her camera. I told her I have my camera but after I took 1 photo, the battery went dead. So I wasn't able to get souvenir photos on the said occasion.

There was a short program before we had our meals like special song, poem reading, devotion and prayer. Then time to serve the meal and we had almond chicken salad, tea, soup, and a choice of quiche or chicken mushroom crepes. I chose the quiche. The meal was great and I was full after the banquet. They also give some prices like gerbera daisies to some mothers. It was a well attended banquet and I had fun.
