Red Rose

A rose from Lira. Thanks sis for this!

A rose is a flowering shrub of the genus Rosa. It's the classic expression of love because a rose flower pours forth your innermost feelings to your beloved in the most beautiful way. So give a rose to your loved ones and friends and make anyone's heart bloom with joy!

My online friends make my day aside from my family. Now, I want to pass this rose to my dear friends, Ging, Juliana (Pinay WAHM), Mica, Juliana (NY) and Mari.

Talking To My Family

I've been talking to my family in the Philippines using webcam and microphone for hours. I'm so glad that they have a DSL now so we can talk freely for as long as we want using Skype. I talked to all of them from my aunt, sis, brothers, bro-in-law, sis-in-law, nephews down to the baby girl of my youngest brother who is only 6 months with her baby talk. She was so cute and hubby said we should see her before she grow up. She's a happy baby. I was so delighted seeing all of them. The other day while I was talking with them, my hubby came home from work so he got the chance to see them and also talked to them before he went back to work. I even took photos of my family while I was talking to them. How I miss them and I wish I am there now.

My New Template

I kept changing my template and I think I changed it four times already. The reason is that when I view my template in Firefox, it's okay because this is the browser that I use. But the problem is, when I browse it using IE, my template mess up. So I keep on changing my template and this time I accidentally deleted my Co-bloggers' widget. Now I can't put it back so to all my co-bloggers whose name don't appear here now, just buzz me and I will link you up again. Sorry for the inconvenience. It's good my other blog links was not deleted so I still have the links of my other co-bloggers. I think I will settle for this template for now. I don't want to mess up again my widgets.

The Weather Changes

It's still spring but the weather is getting warm now. I can't believe that last Monday, the highest temperature was 96 degrees. It was so hot during the night and my hubby and I were sweating. Now we are using the AC and it make us feel better. The other night, there was storm in Tarrant County and some properties were destroyed. Today, the weather is nice outside, not too hot and not too cold. It's amazing how the weather here in Texas changes so drastically. I haven't started yet my vegetable garden. The seedlings that I sowed in the pots have sprung already but the garden is not yet ready. My hubby has to dig the ground and clean it before I will transplant my veggies. I hope my hubby will feel a lot better tomorrow so we can prepare our garden.

I Made Money Tonight...

I'm in the list of the top earners tonight in PPP. I was able to grab 2 opps tonight and so even just for a few hours, my name is in the list. When this blog has a PR 3 and my other blog has also a PR, my name often appeared there, but now, only once in a while. Oh well, that's life in the world of blogging. PR come and go. What the heck, blogging goes on.

Prayer For My Hubby

My hubby went back to work today after 2 days of not feeling well. He got fever, cough, colds, no appetite to eat and stomach trouble. The teachers and the kids missed him in the school. One of the teachers e-mailed me yesterday and asked how's my hubby feeling and she wished that he's feeling better. My hubby told me that this morning, one the 4K pupils told him that they prayed for him to get well soon. Then this afternoon, he got a call in the intercom to go to the 3rd grade class so he went there and the teacher led the prayer and the whole class prayed for him to get well completely. My hubby told me that he was touched by the concern and care of the kids and the teachers. Hubby and I believe in the power of prayer and when people pray, God is moved. A lot of people prayed for his healing and now my hubby feels better. To God be the glory.

Unemployed Graduate

My sister sent this e-mail to me. It's an inspiring story and I wanna share it here.

An unemployed graduate woke up one morning and checked his pocket. All he had left was $10. He decided to use it to buy food and then wait for death as he was too proud to go begging. He was frustrated as he could find no job, and nobody was ready to help him.

He bought food and as he sat down to eat, an old man and two little children came along and asked him to help them with food as they had not eaten for almost a week. He looked at them. They were so lean that he could see their bones coming out. Their eyes had gone into the socket.
With the last bit of compassion he had, he gave them the food. The old man and children prayed that God would bless and prosper him and then gave him a very old coin.

The young graduate said to them "you need the prayer more than I do".

With no money, no job, no food, the young graduate went under the bridge to rest and wait for death. As he was about to sleep, he saw an old newspaper on the ground. He picked it up, and suddenly he saw an advertisement for people with old coins to come to a certain address.

He decided to go there with the old coin the old man gave him. On getting to the place, he gave the proprietor the coin. The proprietor screamed, brought out a big book and showed the young graduate a photograph. This same old coin was worth 3 million dollars. The young graduate was overjoyed as the proprietor gave him a bank draft for 3 million dollars within an hour. He collected the Bank Draft and went in search of the old man and little children.

By the time he got to where he left them eating, they had gone. He asked the owner of the canteen if he knew them. He said no but they left a note for you. He quickly opened the note thinking it would lead him to find them.

This is what the note said: "You gave us your all and we have rewarded you back with the coin" Sign ed God the Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost. 1 Kings 17:10-16; Matthew 11:28-30

Have you given all to Jesus Christ? If you haven't, do so today and he will surprise you.

At The Park

I'm so glad that we've been having nice weather lately. This is my favorite season of the year, spring. Hubby and I went to Alvarado last Monday and we stopped by at the park in Burleson to go to the restroom. The trees and lawn in the park are so green and we took some photos. It's good to savor the beauty of God's wonderful creation.

At Chicken Express

Hubby and I went to Alvarado last Monday and we stopped by at Chicken Express to eat our supper. As usual we ordered chicken tenders and I got mashed potatoes on the side while hubby got French fries. We love their chicken and their gravy. It's a lot better than Golden Chick here in Wichita Falls. We always go to Chicken Express every time we go to Alvarado. This is one of our favorite chicken restaurants.

A Good IRS Story For The Day After!

Need to laugh? Here's a funny story that I got from my e-mail.

The IRS decides to audit Ralph, and summons him to the IRS office.

The IRS auditor is not surprised when Ralph shows up with his attorney.

The auditor says, 'Well, sir, you have an extravagant lifestyle and no full-time employment, which you explain by saying that you win money gambling. I'm not sure the IRS finds that believable.'

I'm a great gambler, and I can prove it,' says Ralph. 'How about a demonstration?'
The auditor thinks for a moment and said, 'Okay. Go ahead.'

Ralph says, 'I'll bet you a thousand dollars that I can bite my own eye.'

The auditor thinks a moment and says, 'It's a bet.'

Ralph removes his glass eye and bites it.
The auditor's jaw drops.

Ralph says, 'Now, I'll bet you two thousand dollars that I can bite my other eye.'
Now the auditor can tell Ralph isn't blind, so he takes the bet.

Ralph removes his dentures and bites his good eye.
The stunned auditor now realizes he has wagered and lost three grand, with Ralph's attorney as a witness. He starts to get nervous.

'Want to go double or nothing?' Ralph asks 'I'll bet you six thousand dollars that I can stand on one side of your desk, and pee into that wastebasket on the other side, and never get a drop anywhe re in between.'

The auditor, twice burned, is cautious now, but he looks carefully and decides there's no way this guy could possibly manage that stunt, so he agrees again.

Ralph stands beside the desk and unzips his pants, but although he strains mightily, he can't make the stream reach the wastebasket on the other side, so he pretty much urinates all over the auditor's desk.
The auditor leaps with joy, realizing that he has just turned a major loss into a huge win. But Ralph's attorney moans and puts his head in his hands.

'Are you okay?' the auditor asks.

'Not really,' says the attorney. 'This morning, when Ralph told me he'd been summoned for an audit, he bet me twenty-five thousand dollars that he could come in here and piss all over your desk and that you'd be happy about it.

Joel Osteen: False Preacher!

Have you ever tried watching Joel Osteen, pastor of non-denominational Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas on tv? I did watched him a few times and I found out that this smiling preacher who is a Richard Gere look-alike doesn't quote Scriptures while preaching. All he says are those positive words and don't preach about SIN or repentance. He doesn't preach about salvation either. Joel's teaching are nothing short of sweet bread for the pew sitters. He admits that he does not want to talk about anything negative. Sin, hell, God's wrath onto the unbelievers at the end time are not part of his vocabulary. He admits that he just wants people to feel good and to feel good about themselves. The sad part of this is that he then should have become a counselor not a preacher. And to think that his church is the biggest church in the US with more than 40,000 attendance every week. Are you being fooled by him too? The Bible says, "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." Matthew 7:15

Last night my hubby and I were in front of my laptop and I took some photos in the webcam. We've been having some fun taking photos together and we made some faces while posing. Oprah Denied Christ

Please pray.......We must know about this so that we can be prepared to stand up for our beliefs. It is so scary to think that so many people are being reached by this every single day! Please pray and alert your Christian brothers and sisters about this so that they can pray and stand against this evil.

Oprah denied that Jesus is the Son of God. She is mocking Christianity and people are listening! You'll never look at Oprah the same way ever again...

After learning about this, I don't even want to watch her show now. She is an anti-Christ and a lot of people are following her. She's using her popularity to gain followers in her doctrines and beliefs. Please don't be fooled by her.

I Miss Them...

I talked to my family in the Philippines a few days ago using Skype. I've seen them all in the webcam from my aunt, my sister and her family down to my 2 brothers with their spouses. We talked using the microphone and I'm so glad that my laptop has a built-in webcam and microphone. This is the reason why I opted to buy a laptop with integrated webcam and microphone so I can talk and see my family overseas. It saved me a lot of money in my international phone bills already. I don't call them in the phone now. We just go online and see and talk to each other. It made me miss them so much the more seeing all of them. It's been 4 and a half years that I haven't seen them. I just pray to God to let us go back there soon. My hubby really wants to go back there in the Philippines and stay. I believe that God will give us the desires of our hearts in His time.

Bran Muffins

The couple were 85 years old, and had been married for sixty years. Though they were far from rich, they managed to get by because they watched their pennies. Though not young, they were both in very good health, largely due to the wife's insistence on healthy foods and exercise for the last decade. One day, their good health didn't help when they went on a rare vacation and their plane crashed, sending them off to Heaven.

They reached the pearly gates, and St. Peter escorted them inside. He took them to a beautiful mansion, furnished in gold and fine silks, with a fully stocked kitchen and a waterfall in the master bath.. A maid could be seen hanging their favorite clothes in the closet. They gasped in astonishment when he said, "Welcome to Heaven. This will be your home now."

The old man asked Peter how much all this was going to cost. "Why, nothing," Peter replied, "remember, this is your reward in Heaven."

The old man looked out the window and right there he saw a championship golf course, finer and more beautiful than any ever built on Earth. "What are the greens fees?," grumbled the old man.

"This is heaven," St. Peter replied. "You can play for free, every day."

Next they went to the clubhouse and saw the lavish buffet lunch, with every imaginable cuisine laid out before them, from seafood to steaks to exotic deserts, free flowing beverages. "Don't even ask," said St. Peter to the man. This is Heaven, it is all free for you to enjoy."

The old man looked around and glanced nervously at his wife. "Well, where are the low fat and low cholesterol foods, and the decaffeinated tea?," he asked.

"That's the best part," St. Peter replied. "You can eat and drink as much as you like of whatever you like, and you will never get fat or sick. This is Heaven!"

The old man pushed, "No gym to work out at?"
"Not unless you want to," was the answer.
"No testing my sugar or blood pressure or..."
"Never again. All you do here is enjoy yourself."

The old man glared at his wife and said, "You and your bran muffins. We could have been here years ago!"

Earning Good

Guess what? I'm featured in the top earners of the day in PPP. It's been a while since my name appeared there. I'm glad I'm still earning good even without my PR in this blog. It was dropped from PR 3 to zero more than a month ago. So with or without PR, paid blogging goes on. The mighty G can't stop bloggers to do paid blogging. Kaya sige, banat...

American Idol Said Bye To Ramielle Malubay

Ramielle Malubay was voted out tonight. Her last three performance did not do her any good and last night America decided to send her home. But she need to be proud of herself because out of those bunch of contestants, she made it to the top 10. She made us Filipinos proud that she was able to make it to the finals and competed with those Americans. She was the shortest among the contestants but she's cute. She's got the voice, only she just picked the wrong songs.

One of our friends in the church gave us venison last Saturday. This was the 3rd time that he gave us deer meat, about 9 lbs. I cooked venison stew yesterday and it was so delicious. I love venison because it has only little fats and deers are free range animals. They were not given antibiotics or growth hormones. Next time I will cook venison steak. Our friend said, when we run out of venison, we can ask him again. We're planning to go with him to his ranch and see all those animals that are in there, like deers, turkeys and hogs.

Congestion In Fort Worth

Traveling from Wichita Falls to Alvarado is smooth until we reach Fort Worth. Lots of cars there and traffic is bad. Hubby and I hate it because of the congestion and he can't drive fast. He drove slowly and it's like ages till we pass by that area. Then after that he can drive fast again. The same thing happened when we drove back home. There was congestion again and I told hubby we can't do anything but to be patient until we pass by Fort Worth. He said that's the reason he moved out of Fort Worth because he hated the traffic there. My hubby was born and raised in Fort Worth but he moved out there many moon years back. Hubby likes the country life and I don't blame him. It's a lot peaceful and more quiet in the country. I captured the congestion of vehicles in Fort Worth with my camera.

Me & Consuelo

Here's a video of me and Consuelo taken by my hubby when we went to visit them in Alvarado more than a week ago. She's the youngest and only granddaughter of my hubby. She just turned 1 year old and she's a cutie. She's a good and happy kid and I'm very fond of her.
