Easter Celebration
After the breakfast, we had our regular Sunday church service. We had a full house and our Pastor gave a very good message about the resurrection of our dear Lord Jesus Christ. We serve a risen Savior and He's alive forevermore. All other gods are dead except our Lord Jesus Christ. He is alive and He will come again soon for His children who accepted Him as their Lord and Savior. That would be the day!

With The Little Kids
Spring Had Sprung

Winter is gone and spring had sprung. I'm so happy to see my flowers bloom once again. My daffodils were the first flowers that came back. The rest are still in the process of forming their leaves. My peach tree that I planted more than two years ago is blooming for the first time. It has those pretty pink flowers. I hope that the flowers will turn into fruits.

I'm Back
We had a good time with hubby's kids and grandkids. We spent 2 nights at Robert and Shelly's house in Cleburne and another 2 nights at Manuel and Stacy's house in Alvarado. Last Sunday afternoon after the church service, Robert took us to Traders' Village in Grand Prairie. Josh said that the said place is like Mexico. Lots of Mexicans are in that place doing their business. The place reminds me of the public markets in the Philippines and majority of the people selling stuffs there are Mexicans. One thing I like in Traders' Village is that the goods and commodities there are cheaper than in the stores. I bought 14 embroidered, appliqued curtains colored pink, orange and blue. They are so pretty and you can't find those curtains in the regular stores. I even negotiated with the sales lady and she gave me discount when I told her I will buy a lot. I also bought 15 pcs. of ripe mangoes for only $9. My hubby love mangoes and he learned to love eating mangoes when he was in the Philippines. It's so expensive here compared to the Philippines. I told him we will eat a lot of mangoes to our hearts' content when we go back to my native land. We have 9 mango trees there and they're bearing fruits already.

MASTERCARD WEDDING

You’ve got to love this guy... This is a true story about a recent Wedding that took place at Clemson University . It was in the local newspaper and even Jay Leno mentioned it.
It was a huge wedding with about 300 guests.
After the wedding, at the reception, the groom got up on stage with a microphone to talk to the crowd. He said he wanted to thank everyone for coming, many from long distances, to support them at their wedding.

He especially wanted to thank the bride's and his family and to thank his new father-in-law for providing such a lavish reception.
As a token of his deep appreciation he said he wanted to give everyone a special gift just from him.
So taped to the bottom of everyone's chair, including the wedding party was an envelope.
He said this was his gift to everyone, and asked them to open their envelope.
The groom had gotten suspicious of them weeks earlier and had hired a private detective to tail them.
After just standing there, just watching the guests' reactions for a couple of minutes, he turned to the best man and
Said, 'F---you!' Then he turned to his bride and said, 'F--- you!'
Then he turned to the dumbfounded crowd and said, 'I'm outta here.'
He had the marriage annulled first thing in the morning.
While most people would have canceled the wedding immediately after finding out about the affair, this
Guy goes through with the charade, as if nothing were wrong. His revenge--making the bride's parents pay over $32,000 for a
300-guest wedding and reception, and best of all, trashing the bride's and best man's reputations in front of 300 friends and family members.
This guy has balls the size of
Church bells.
Do you think we might get a MasterCard 'priceless' commercial out of this?
Elegant wedding reception for 300 family members and friends: $32,000.
Wedding photographs commemorating the Occasion: $3,000
Deluxe two-week honeymoon accommodations in Maui : $8,500.
The look on everyone's face when they see the 8x10 glossy of the bride humping the best
Man: Priceless.
There are some things money can't buy, for everything else there's MASTERCARD

Surprise Gift
My hubby came home for lunch today and he had something for me. He handed me the plastic bag and when I opened it, I found a scrapbook photo album that he bought for me from his co-worker. I've been into digital scrapbooking in my computer but I haven't done yet in a scrapbook paper. I guess I have to learn how to do it. Hubby knows that I love doing digital scrapbook but maybe he just wants me to do it in a photo album. These stuffs are not cheap that's why I'm not really into this thing. I know that my hubby just want to please me and I really appreciate him for that.

Pretty Funny!!!
Don't Drink Bottled Water Left In The Car
WARN YOUR GIRLFRIENDS AND DAUGHTERS
Bottled water in your car.....very dangerous, woman!!!!
This is how Sheryl Crow got breast cancer. She was on the Ellen show and said this same exact thing. This has been identified as the most common cause of the high levels in breast cancer, especially in Australia .
A friend whose mother was recently diagnosed with breast cancer said that the Doctor told her: women should not drink bottled water that has been left in a car.
The doctor said that the heat and the plastic of the bottle have certain chemicals that can lead to breast cancer. So please be careful and do not drink bottled water that has been left in a car, and, pass this on to all the women in your life. This information is the kind we need to know and be aware and just might save us!!!! The heat causes toxins from the plastic to leak into the water and they have found these toxins in breast tissue.
Use a stainless steel Canteen or a glass bottle when you can!!!
Let every one that has a wife/girlfriend and daughter know please.
As we all know, its getting hotter and hotter, what's more on Summer right?! So if you had read this too, just inform your loved ones, grandma, wife, auntie, cousin, sister, girlfriend, your friends and neighbors if they don't know about this yet. You might save their lives just for passing them this info. I will surely tell this to my mom as she always drives around.
Make sure not to leave bottled water on your cars, bring them along with you. And I think, we can assume that this not only apply to bottled water, but to all bottled drinks.

My Friend Ann's Birthday

My friend Ann celebrated her birthday today in our house. We've been busy cooking this morning because her Friendster friend Wendy and her hubby will be coming over to meet her for the first time. Ann cooked chicken adobo, sinigang na bangus and lumpia. My hubby cooked mashed potatoes and made banana pudding. I cooked pecan pie and pumpkin pie last night. I cooked rice, puto and pancit today. That's our treat for her. She also invited our friend Arlene. Wendy and her hubby arrived just when we're about to finish the cooking. She's also preggy like Ann. We had lots of foods and we were full. Arlene said the foods were delicious. There were lots of leftovers and everybody had to take home some pancit and puto. Ann got some birthday presents too. She said this is the happiest birthday she ever had since she was here in Texas.
